Employee Benefits Security Administration Begins Health Plan Audits
With healthcare reform comes change. The
Department of Labor is taking measures to ensure that organizations are
fulfilling their requirements under the new provisions, specifically through
Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) audits. EBSA is checking
that companies are compliant with mandates that have been in place for quite
some time, i.e. COBRA and HIPAA; as well as newer requirements that exist under
the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). For more information
